The Merchant's House
The house (at 132 High Street) was home to 17th Century silk merchant. It provides an insight into the lifestyle and interests of a middle-class family during a century when modern Britain—an outward looking, emerging capitalist country and one with a maturing political life—was coming into being.

Marlborough's restaurants, pubs and wine bars

Listings

Marlborough offers visitors a varied selection of restaurants, from the more formal 'fine dining' establishments and brasserie-style venues, to hostelries serving traditional, home-made pub food. But Marlborough's restaurants don't have it all their own way. Because no matter what you want to eat, or how you want to eat (sitting down or on the hoof) Marlborough will fit the bill.

As well as a choice of formal restaurants, you'll also find the quintessential English tea room, pubs serving excellent and inexpensive dishes at lunch and dinner, delicatessens producing first class take-away (and eat in) food, ethnic restaurants of all kinds and the slick, value for money High Street restaurant chains.

And when you contact any of the establishments on this website, please mention that you found them through www.marlboroughwiltshire.co.uk. Thank you.

(There isn't a Tourist Information Centre in Marlborough, but you should be able to find all you need to know about the town on this website.)

Welcome to Marlborough!
